Participation

It is my strong belief that if one is an active participant in any club or extracurricular activity, than their high school experience will be better. No matter what club or organization, so long as they are meeting new people and doing different things the high school experience will be some of the best four of their lives.

FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America is something very important to me, I have been in it for the past three years and it has brought me some of the best memories in high school. I actively participated and placed in many events; however, my pride comes from serving as a Arizona State Officer. I was able to help members see the greatness of FBLA as I saw it and I got to become the “super cool” state officer that I saw walking through the conferences in the past years. My experience was a great one and I hope I had a positive effect on others

Student Council

I participated a lot in student council, my sophomore year I was my local chapter secretary and my junior year I was an active member. I really enjoyed being a part of it and assisting with my schools activities. Along with FBLA and NHS it gave me a sense of leadership and when to let others take charge and lear. The best leader also makes a good follower.

National Honors Society

I was admitted into National Honor Society at the beginning of my junior year. I have been in it since and loved all the community service that we do for it. In one instance we went to a local farm and helped shovel compost so we could make it usable for the local farmer and communities to grow their own crops. I have a lot of fun volunteering in NHS.

Running Club

At our school we have a local club similar to a cross country team called the running club. Although we do not formally compete with other schools, we do run a lot of local races. This club was founded my freshman year and I love every bit of it, there are many people in the club and it helps us stay in shape and push each other to run faster and get better.

Varsity Soccer

Along with the many school related activities I participate in I take pride in saying I am a four year letterman in soccer. Since my freshmen year I have been on Empire’s Varsity soccer team, and the last two years (my junior and senior year) I had gotten to be captain. I showed my leadership skills on and off the field making sure everyone was doing their job in a positive and reinforcing way. I take pride in my leadership of the team.
